This program prepares students to provide quality care to residents in nursing care facilities. Students will learn various aspects of residents’ care, such as Body Mechanics, Assistance in Daily Living, Medical/Surgical Asepsis, and Nutrition.

Clinical Training is completed at our partner facilities - Pacific Heights Transitional Care, The Avenues Transitional Care and Linda Mar Rehabilitation Center.

Upon completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be able to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program Exam that will lead to the California Nursing Assistant Certification. The CA Certification Exam is held in our campus.

Job Assistance is provided to all students for employment in long term care facilities, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and agencies.​

In person Hemodialysis Technician certification Classes

This program teaches students how to care for patients with renal failure and how to use the dialysis equipment proficiently. Students will learn how to take vital signs, obtain vascular access, take blood samples and work comfortably with patients and their families.

Upon completion, students will take the California Dialysis Council (CDC) Exam and be able to apply for Certification at the California Department of Health.

Eligible students will be able to complete a Student Internship Program at any DaVita Dialysis Facility in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Job Assistance is provided to all students for employment in dialysis clinics.

Northern California Nursing Academy - Pharmacy Technician Hybrid Program

Northern California Nursing Academy's Pharmacy Technician Hybrid Program aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of pharmacy fundamentals such as:

  • Drug classifications
  • Pharmacy calculations
  • Pharmacy laws and regulations

The program also trains students to receive and verify prescriptions and prepare patient medications.

After completing the theory portion online, students undertake a 160-hour externship in settings like Walgreens, The Pill Club, and UCSF, arranged by the academy. The program lasts for six months, after which students receive a Certificate of Completion and are immediately eligible to apply for a License at the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Northern California Nursing Academy is a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training program. On successful completion, students are eligible to apply for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).
