Northern California Nursing Academy - Pharmacy Technician Hybrid Program

Northern California Nursing Academy's Pharmacy Technician Hybrid Program aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of pharmacy fundamentals such as:

  • Drug classifications
  • Pharmacy calculations
  • Pharmacy laws and regulations

The program also trains students to receive and verify prescriptions and prepare patient medications.

After completing the theory portion online, students undertake a 160-hour externship in settings like Walgreens, The Pill Club, and UCSF, arranged by the academy. The program lasts for six months, after which students receive a Certificate of Completion and are immediately eligible to apply for a License at the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Northern California Nursing Academy is a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training program. On successful completion, students are eligible to apply for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).
