After completing the theory portion online, students undertake a 160-hour externship in settings like Walgreens, The Pill Club, and UCSF, arranged by the academy. The program lasts for six months, after which students receive a Certificate of Completion and are immediately eligible to apply for a License at the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Northern California Nursing Academy is a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training program. On successful completion, students are eligible to apply for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).
