Cosmetology

Program Overview:

The Cosmetology diploma program aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue entry-level positions in the cosmetology industry including hair styling, hair shaping, hair coloring, manicuring, skin care, chemical services, and salon management. Through both theoretical instruction and practical applications, students learn from licensed instructional staff. They also gain hands-on experience in the school’s full-service cosmetology clinic under supervision. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Cosmetologist, Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Nail Technician, and Assistant/Receptionist in salons or spas.

Credential Awarded:

Upon completion of the program, graduates receive a diploma. After accumulating a minimum of 1,250 instructional hours and successfully completing the program, graduates are eligible to take the Cosmetology license exam administered by the State Board of Cosmetology. Licensure is mandatory in Pennsylvania.

The Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy program aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue entry-level positions in the respiratory therapy industry. Respiratory therapists play a crucial role in healthcare, providing care to patients of all ages by conducting diagnostic testing, administering breathing treatments, setting up mechanical ventilators, and consulting with physicians on patient care. The program curriculum covers various areas, including medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, critical care, and cardiopulmonary anatomy & physiology. Students also gain practical experience in using specialized equipment through laboratory components. Esthetics/Nail Technician

Program Overview:

The Esthetics/Nail Technician diploma program is tailored to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills required for entry-level positions in the esthetics and nail care industries. This program offers comprehensive training for individuals aspiring to work as estheticians or nail technicians. Graduates of this program can pursue careers in various settings such as spas, salons, resorts, dermatology offices, cosmetic surgery clinics, and even in the entertainment industry. Students will receive instruction in skincare, makeup, manicuring, pedicuring, nail design, and nail artistry. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical application, with opportunities for supervised practice in a full-service esthetics and nail care clinic.

Credential Awarded:

Successful completion of the program leads to the award of a diploma. Graduates must complete a minimum of 300 hours of instruction in esthetics and a minimum of 200 hours in nail technician training. After completing all classes, graduates are eligible to take the licensing exams for both esthetics and nail technology through the State Board of Cosmetology. Licensure is mandatory in Pennsylvania.
