Program Overview:
Computer Network Security Technicians play a crucial role in installing, configuring, and supporting various network systems, including LANs, WANs, and Internet systems. They are responsible for implementing network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware, as well as performing data backups and disaster recovery operations. Students will learn to maintain network hardware and software, monitor networks, and perform necessary maintenance tasks. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including network infrastructure, wireless technology, electrical studies, network design, IT support technology, and computer repair & maintenance.
Credential Awarded:
Successful graduates of the program will earn an occupational Specialized Associate Degree
Certifications Available:
Laurel’s program prepares students to take industry recognized certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
Program Advisory Committee:
Laurel has established a Program Advisory Committee to ensure that the curriculum remains aligned with current job market trends and employer needs. Any program changes are made with the approval of the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools & Colleges.

We are proudly accredited by Accrediting Commission of Careers Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Accreditation is a form of quality control, ensuring that institutions of higher education satisfy certain standards. To ensure we always meet those standards, Laurel is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, State Board of License Schools. Laurel is also approved to participate in NC-Sara through the PA Department of Education. We have programmatic accreditation through CoARC for our Respiratory Therapy program.
