Program Overview:
Clinical Medical Assistants diploma program play a crucial role in medical settings, performing both administrative and clinical tasks under the supervision of physicians. Clinical duties involve tasks such as recording vital signs, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, performing phlebotomy procedures, and administering medications as directed. Administrative responsibilities may include appointment scheduling, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes.

Upon completion of the program, graduates receive a diploma
Certifications Available:
Laurel’s program prepares students to take industry recognized certifications such as Certified Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, CPR, EKG, and First Aid.
Accreditation:
The program is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools & Colleges. It undergoes regular reviews to ensure alignment with industry standards and community needs.
Program Advisory Committee:
Laurel has established a Program Advisory Committee to ensure that the curriculum remains aligned with current job market trends and employer needs. Any program changes are made with the approval of the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools & Colleges.

Accreditation is a form of quality control, ensuring that institutions of higher education satisfy certain standards. To ensure we always meet those standards, Laurel is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, State Board of License Schools. Laurel is also approved to participate in NC-Sara through the PA Department of Education. We have programmatic accreditation through CoARC for our Respiratory Therapy program.
