Technical Health Academy
A Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) will be responsible for assisting with administrative work and will support physicians and other staff at hospitals, medical clinics, doctor's offices and other facilities. The CMA will be trained on medical office procedures including preparing medical history, taking vital signs, weight and height of patients. The CMA will also prepare exam rooms, disinfect medical instruments, apply injections, vaccines, check for insurance, and schedule appointments. additionally, the CMA will perform billing and coding functions. The CMA's role balances clinical and administrative duties.
EKG aides utilize electrocardiogram machines, also known as cartographic performing diagnostics, to test patients. Instruction includes overview of the anatomy and physiology of the heart, cardiovascular system, medical terminology and interpreting EKG strips, rhythms and deviation. EKG aides provide information to doctors who will use it to diagnose any problems within the cardiovascular system and monitor patient's blood pressure.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is an emergency procedure that combines chest compressions often with artificial ventilations. Rescue breathing provides oxygen to the person’s lungs. Chest compressions keep oxygen rich blood flowing until the heartbeat and breathing can be restored.
