A Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) will be responsible for assisting with administrative work and will support physicians and other staff at hospitals, medical clinics, doctor's offices and other facilities. The CMA will be trained on medical office procedures including preparing medical history, taking vital signs, weight and height of patients. The CMA will also prepare exam rooms, disinfect medical instruments, apply injections, vaccines, check for insurance, and schedule appointments. additionally, the CMA will perform billing and coding functions. The CMA's role balances clinical and administrative duties.
