Medical coding training offers instruction on the skills and tasks required to be a medical coder, from the analysis of medical records to understanding diseases that affect the human body. Students will experience medical coding training in an assortment of ways, including workbook pages, case studies, role play, daily exercises, and more. The medical coding specialist classes and externship at DTC offer training from experienced professionals that can prepare graduates for entry-level jobs after graduation. When students complete the Medical Coding Specialist Program at DTC they can sit for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Exam in order to earn medical coding certification.
DTC offers x-ray certification for dental assistants. The main objective of the Dental Radiology Seminar is to provide students with the fundamental principles of dental radiology and provide students dental x-ray certification.
Upon completion of the seminar, participants will receive a certificate of completion. The certificate and application will be sent to the Mississippi State Dental Board. Assistance is given to participants at the end of the seminar with filling out and submitting the state application online.
Upon successful completion of the Radiology Seminar, participants will be eligible to apply for their Radiology Permit Holder Certification through the Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners.

The Medical Assisting Program teaches you the skills you need to play a supporting role in the healthcare industry as a medical assistant! Common medical assistant duties include assisting with EKGs and x-rays, preparing the patient for physical exams, assisting the physician with minor surgical procedures, and sterilizing instruments. In some work settings, the medical assistant is expected to effectively handle administrative office procedures such as billing, coding, scheduling, insurance claims, and electronic record keeping. The Medical Assisting Program at Delta Tech (DTC) is taught by instructors with real-world experience in the medical field. Medical assistant classes at DTC include a combination of hands-on lab instruction and classroom training. The Medical Assisting Program concludes with an externship that gives you in-the-field experience in a medical facility such as physician’s office, chiropractor’s office, or podiatrist’s office or clinic.
Phlebotomists are allied health professionals who use needles to draw blood from patients, usually for lab testing of various illnesses, blood transfusions, research, or blood donations. Phlebotomists typically work in hospitals, doctor’s offices, and labs.
The Phlebotomy Course at DTC is an accredited phlebotomy training course that features hands-on training led by instructors with real-world experience. Students learn phlebotomy in laboratory procedures, including the collection and handling of specimens for testing in both a facility and an outside laboratory environment.

The main objective of the Pipe Fitting Course is to provide students with the fundamental principles of entry-level pipe fitting and qualify them to secure immediate employment as a pipefitter/steamfitter in the manufacturing, construction, fabrication, and maintenance industries. Continued education classes in pipe fitting feature classroom instruction and hands-on training in pipe measurements and runs, isometric drawing readings, field fabrication and more. DTC requires all applicants to provide proof of a high school diploma, GED or documentation of home school completion.
