Midwest Technical Institute-Ridgeland, nestled at 113 Marketridge Drive in Ridgeland, Mississippi, stands as a private, for-profit technical college dedicated to offering a range of diploma and degree programs tailored to the medical and allied health fields. Despite most information being focused on their Illinois and Missouri campuses, this Ridgeland branch provides specialized programs such as dental assisting, medical billing and coding, pharmacy technician training, and surgical technology. The Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), ensuring the quality and credibility of its educational offerings.
The campus is strategically positioned in a suburban area, allowing students to experience a blend of professional focus and community engagement. Although the student population is small, with recent estimates suggesting student numbers between 687 and 946, the college emphasizes hands-on training to equip students with the practical skills needed for immediate employment post-graduation. Despite discrepancies in online data regarding student outcomes, the institution continues to participate in federally funded financial aid programs, supporting accessibility and educational advancement for its students.
