The Medical Assistant certification course offered by the UAF Community and Technical College's Downtown Center in Alaska is an intensive program teaching students the basics of medical care while providing additional lab and hands-on experience. The curriculum includes topics such as anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and patient care. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded a certificate as a Medical Assistant, qualifying them to work in hospitals, physician offices and other medical facilities.
