Our program prepares students for an entry-level position as a Patient Care Technician (PCT). The emphasis is on cultivating the necessary technical skills to provide care to complex patients, under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers.
Acquire skills to perform personal care, respiratory services, rehabilitation services, EKG, and phlebotomy.
Receive a certificate of completion upon successful completion of the course.
Become eligible to challenge for National Certification through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) for PCT, Phlebotomy, and EKG.
Open opportunities to work in various healthcare environments like hospitals, sub-acute centers, long-term care facilities, oncology hospitals, and laboratory facilities.
Certified PCTs assist doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care. Duties encompass basic patient care like feeding, bathing, moving patients, and changing linens.
