TCC’S LPN to RN program prepares the student for a career as a Registered Nurse. Upon satisfactory completion of the curriculum, the student is awarded an Associate in Nursing – Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program (DTA/MRP) degree and is eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nursing. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who wish to become Registered Nurses may apply for advanced standing in the program. LPNs are admitted into the full time program once a year in winter quarter. The first quarter is level three of a six level program.
