Program Details:
- Cost: Approximately $161 in tuition
- Duration: Approximately one semester (about 18 weeks) including two concurrent courses, plus a 40-hour externship.
- Schedule: Hybrid format with online lecture portions and in-person laboratory components conducted at clinical sites.
- Prerequisites: Must be 18 years or older; High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, CHSPE); Valid Social Security Number; Completion or concurrent enrollment in ALH 0010 (Introduction to Phlebotomy) with a grade of C or better; Enrollment in ALH 0011 (Phlebotomy Clinical Practicum) which requires completion or concurrent enrollment in ALH 0010; Completion of application and attendance at orientation.
- Accreditations: Institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), part of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) as an authorized phlebotomy training program.

Sierra Community College found there was a need for a well-known Certified Nursing Assistant training program, so they started this class to educate the next generation of healthcare workers. Located in Rocklin, SCC is convenient for those who live in the greater Sacramento metro area. The class is 16 weeks long (1 semester). Each class is 12 students large, so they unfortunately have to turn students away sometimes.
