The Patient Care Technician certification program at Rio Grande Valley College is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to assist healthcare professionals in providing quality patient care. The Medical Assistant certification program offered by Rio Grande Valley College is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a career in healthcare. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience, students learn how to perform various medical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and assisting with medical procedures. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Certified Medical Assistant examination and start their career in the healthcare field.

The LVN/LPN license program at Rio Grande Valley College is designed to prepare students to become licensed vocational nurses who are able to provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The program includes both classroom instruction and clinical training, giving students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of healthcare settings. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN exam and become licensed as LVNs/LPNs.
