The LVN/LPN license program at Rio Grande Valley College is designed to prepare students to become licensed vocational nurses who are able to provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN exam and become licensed as LVNs/LPNs.

Through hands-on training and clinical experiences, students will develop the practical skills needed to succeed as a Patient Care Technician.

The Medical Assistant certification program offered by Rio Grande Valley College is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a career in healthcare. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience, students learn how to perform various medical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and assisting with medical procedures. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Certified Medical Assistant examination and start their career in the healthcare field.
