Most hospitals and clinics require their CNA and CMA employees to also have their Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association. This includes skills such as proper CPR techniques, AED instruction and how to remove airway obstructions in both adults and infants. Once you complete your certification, your credentials will be valid for two years. You will receive an email from [email protected] with a link inviting you to claim your eCard online. Please make sure to check your spam or junk folder. This link will direct you to the Student Profile webpage where you will confirm that all information on that page (First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone Number, eCard Code, AHA Instructor Name, and Training Center information) is correct. Once confirmed you can download and print your eCard.

CNA Renewal Options

Certified nurse aides work with patients to provide health care under the supervision of a licensed or registered nurse. If you have already obtained a professional certification but have let it lapse, this course can reactivate your expired or unused certificate in less than one day with one of our CNA renewal options. You will receive study materials in advance, then you’ll attend three hours of additional training in our skills lab with our instructor. The small group setting of less than six students per class will give you confidence to pass the written and clinical skills exams held at the completion of the class.

If you are looking to become a CNA, then you will need to take the 76-hour CNA Course. If you are already a CNA but let your certification lapse, you can take our Refresher Course or simply take the exam with us. A Certified Nurse Aide, or CNA, helps patients or clients with healthcare needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Working closely with patients in a health care facility, hospital, nursing home, long-term care facility, or in their own home, you’ll complete such tasks as checking vital signs, making up patient beds, and assisting patients with personal tasks. In some cases, CNAs can also assist practical nurses with basic medical procedures.

Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician Program is a 12-week course that combines online learning, and in-class checkpoints. Plus through an externship at Consonus Pharmacy, students will be exposed to an extensive fulfillment center, stellar customer service, meticulous billing practices, IV administration, and precise order management. This program is approved by the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy. If you’d like to learn more about Nebraska’s requirements, click HERE. During your externship, you will be exposed to the following areas: Order Management, Intravenous Therapy, Billing, Customer Service and the Fulfillment Center. This course prepares and meets the requirements for students to register and take the ExCPT exam through the National Healthcareer Association. Upon completion of all course requirements and successfully passing the ExCPT exam, students will be awarded certification and will be allowed to use the credentials of CPhT in all 50 states. Certification is valid for two years and must be renewed within this time frame to remain valid. Please note that 20 hours of continuing education are required within each renewal period. Many times, your employer can provide these hours of training.
