Phlebotomists are trained to perform the skills necessary to work in an in-patient and out-patient clinical setting. Students will study basic and advanced phlebotomy practices, specialized testing collections, as well as proper laboratory sample collection, handling, and processing procedures. The Phlebotomy Program will provide students with the skills, training, and knowledge needed to become a skilled phlebotomist. This program provides hands-on competency training in the knowledge and specialized skills through coursework, laboratory instructions, and hands-on training. Upon completion students are eligible to take the National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam.
