The Alternative “Bridge” Program is a three-day, 24-hour education program for the Home Care Aid Certified. This course builds on the 75-hours of education the Home Care Aid has already completed and teaches the student the remaining standards of practice and competencies needed to become a Nursing Assistant Certified. Students spend approximately 8 hours in the classroom, 8 hours in a practice lab and 8 hours at a Skilled Nursing Facility executing their skills in the clinical experience.
