Program Overview:

The Medical Assistant Program is designed to prepare individuals for a career in the multi-skilled allied health profession of medical assisting. Medical assistants typically work in ambulatory settings such as medical offices and clinics, where they perform various administrative and clinical tasks. This program aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in medical offices or outpatient clinics. Key areas of study include administrative and clinical office procedures, medical laboratory tests and procedures, human anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, patient psychology, medical ethics, medical law, and pharmacology.

Certification:

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded a Medical Assistant diploma and will be eligible to sit for various professional certification examinations such as the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) National Certification Exam through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) organization.
