A certificate or degree from Lake Tahoe Community College’s Computer Information Systems IT Technician – Cybersecurity program prepares students to enter a wide variety of entry to mid-level jobs in information technology and cybersecurity, desktop support, system administration, computer application installation, and technically oriented administrative positions offering very attractive starting salaries.

Coursework in this program will expose students to cloud-based NETLAB+ technology, and will prepare you to earn industry-recognized CompTIA certifications such as A+, Network+, and Security+, along with Microsoft IT certifications and training. Only six classes are needed to earn the certificate of achievement, which can be completed in a year.

The need for cybersecurity experts is growing 12 times faster than the U.S. job market overall, and these positions typically pay about three times more than the national average. Every year, several hundred thousand of these jobs go unfilled in the U.S. because of a lack of qualified applicants.
