Students can take a variety of classes including an introduction to hospitality, food and beverage management, food sanitation and safety, cost control, financial accounting and microeconomics, basic food preparation, and business law. Coursework in this program will expose students to cloud-based NETLAB+ technology, and will prepare you to earn industry-recognized CompTIA certifications such as A+, Network+, and Security+, along with Microsoft IT certifications and training. Only six classes are needed to earn the certificate of achievement, which can be completed in a year.

The core curriculum in the Medical Office Assistant: Administrative program focuses on the effective use of medical terminology and Anatomy and Physiology, the mechanics of medical coding and billing procedures, and hands‐on experience with utilizing electronic health/medical records. Additional courses emphasize current business communication principles and techniques, including appropriate oral communication strategies and written correspondence. A greater depth of understanding and appreciation of ethical issues related to employment in a medical office will be covered.
