Program Overview:

The Nail Technician diploma program aims to equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities to secure entry-level employment in the nail care industry. Students in this program will receive comprehensive instruction in natural manicuring, pedicuring, nail design, and artistry, covering both traditional and contemporary techniques for nail enhancing and extensions. Upon completion, graduates can pursue positions as manicurists, pedicurists, or nail technicians.

Credential Awarded:

Uniontown, PA: Graduates earn a diploma and are eligible to take the Nail Technician license exam through the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology after completing a minimum of 200 hours of instruction and successfully finishing the program. Licensure is mandatory in Pennsylvania.

West Virginia: Graduates earn a diploma and can sit for the Manicurist exam after completing a minimum of 400 hours of instruction. Licensure is required in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Note: This program is not eligible for financial aid.

Program Advisory Committee:

Laurel has established a Program Advisory Committee to ensure that the curriculum remains aligned with current job market trends and employer needs. Any program changes are made with the approval of the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools & Colleges.
