The Phlebotomy curriculum is designed to prepare a person to function as a phlebotomy technician. This course will provide the knowledge, skills, and externship experience that is necessary to safely and skillfully obtain a blood specimen from a patient. A phlebotomist may work in a variety of settings such as hospitals, outpatient labs, physicians' offices or clinics, or may travel to different locations such as convalescent hospitals.
