The Patient Care Technician Course is a 35-40 hour advanced Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program designed for the CNA or Nurse Assistant(NA) who would like to increase his/her clinical knowledge, hourly pay, improve status, and/or further his/her healthcare training & education. Becoming a Patient Care Technician or Advance CNAII/NAII is a great career choice! PCT’s are essential to the healthcare industry as they assist doctors, nurses, and medical staff in monitoring, caring for, and generating status reports for patients. Note: According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, PCT and nursing assistant careers are expected to grow by 8% between now and 2029. HT&CC;, INC.’s Phlebotomy Program is an accelerated 5-week (40 hour) course designed as a “hands on” and “job readiness” program. This class will allow students to easily transition from the classroom into the work place setting by equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform Phlebotomy & non-blood specimen collection (microbiology & toxicology) procedures safely and accurately. The dynamics of this course is fast-paced and active with minimal amount of didactics and more exercises with the focus on instruction of safe venipuncture (blood collection with needles).

The HT&CC;, INC. Recertification program was designed to meet State Recertification requirements. To qualify for recertification, a participant must complete the 24 hour Competency/Proficiency Evaluation Program which is based on State Requirements. In addition, the applicant must have worked for pay performing nursing, nursing related services and/or direct patient care, under the supervision of a Licensed or registered nurse, for at least eight(8) hours during the last 24 month certification period. If your work experience as a CNA occurred in a non-Medicaid/Medicare approved nursing facility but in a licensed/certified healthcare setting you must either complete a 24 Hour Competency Training Course (OPTION A) or have completed 24 Hours of Continuing Education Training (OPTION B). We are currently offering both the 24 hour Recertification Competency Course and also Inservice Continuing Education Training Sessions.
