Gerthill Allied Health School: Home Health Aide (HHA) Program

Our Home Health Aide (HHA) program is a meticulously designed 40-hour course that can either supplement an existing Nurse Assistant Certificate or serve as a standalone course for Certified Nurse Assistants.

The Course Composition

The course content is designed to build on the current knowledge, skills, and abilities of nurse assistants and consists of:

• 20 hours of theoretical instruction.

• 20 hours of clinical practice.

Curriculum Details

Five key topics form the core of our curriculum:

• Introduction to Aide and Agency Role

• Interpretation of Medical and Social Needs of People Being Served
