Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) by The American Heart Association is a video based course taught by highly qualified instructors in a classroom using simulated pediatric emergencies. The students have to complete the PALS course and pass 1 and 2 Rescuer child and 1 and 2 Rescuer Infant, both with BLS with AED skills tests to get the course completion card, which is valid for two years. Studying healthcare professionals get to actively take part in all the learning stations and complete a written examination. The course gives them the skills to provide effective care to seriously injured or sick children and provide emergency medicine. They are taught to give systematic pediatric assessment and provide cardiac and respiratory emergency services.
