Home Health Aide Program: This (40) hour program, consisting of (20) hours of theory and (20) hours of clinical experience is required for a Home Health Aide certificate. The Home Health Aid program requires each student to have a current CNA License in order to take the HHA program. The course emphasizes on how to assist clients with their daily tasks, such as bathing or dressing, housekeeping, planning appointments, arranging transportation to doctors offices and other outings, shop for groceries and prepare meals to meet a client's dietary specifications. HHA will remain performing certified nurse assistant duties such as checking a client's pulse, temperature, respirations rate, changing bandages or dressings, give massages, care for skin. Enrollment Fee: To enroll in the program a non-refundable fee of $250.00 is due at time of enrollment into the program. If student chooses to cancel their enrollment, the fee will not be refunded (no exceptions). The remainder cost $825.00 covers all the following: Tuition, student workbook and course resources. Scrubs and Textbook not included- Providing Home Care 6th Ed may be purchased through school. There are no state licensing fees for this program. Clinical Locations: Turlock Clinical Skilled Nursing Facility will be used, all (20) clinical hours must be completed in person.
