This (160) hour program, consisting of (60) hours of theory and (100) hours of clinical experience plus practice labs are required for a certificate of completion. The Nurse Assistant program is a course leading to an entry level career in the health care industry. The course emphasizes care of the older adult client and assistance with the activities of daily living; bathing, dressing, exercise, movement, eating, eliminating, safety measures, and rehabilitation techniques following the NATAP 2018 American Red Cross curriculum. The Nurse Assistant Program also provides clinical instruction. Students will practice skills in lab and then be assigned to assist clients in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
