Phlebotomy is an ever growing field used in many different settings. Having people who specialize in blood collection and processing is vital in the allied health care industry. Many medical offices, hospitals, laboratories, and health departments employ skilled Technicians to decrease the workload on doctors and nurses. Students of the Phlebotomy Certificate course will be guided through an accelerated course examining the knowledge, techniques, and procedures required to be a successful Technician. Students successfully completing the course will have the skills needed to properly obtain and process blood specimens while maintaining mandated safety regulations. Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) Phlebotomy Certification exam (NRCPT), will be taken at the successful completion of this course. Textbook and supplies included in the cost of the course. Students are required to wear a disposable lab coat, that is included in the cost.
