The Facilities Maintenance Technician program will prepare students for entry-level positions in the fields of Facilities Maintenance. Students will learn to install, troubleshoot, problem solve, repair and upgrade electrical and electronic equipment, programmable logic controls (PLC), carpentry, plumbing, fluid power and boiler systems, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, appliance repair, welding, brazing and soldering and EPA & OSHA industrial safety standards. Students will learn critical thinking and problem solving skills, along with learning about judgment and decision making. The successful graduate can secure positions as Industrial Facilities Maintenance, Field Service Technicians, HVAC, Appliance Repair, Industrial Machine Repair, Building Maintenance and Multi-Crafted Service Technician. Students prepare to take EPA 608 CFC Universal Certification, EPA 609 Automotive Certification & R410A Safety Certification, Employment Ready Certifications in Refrigeration Servicing and Charging, Air Conditioning, Electrical and Green Awareness.
The Associate Degree in Business is designed to advance the student’s knowledge in today’s business office environment. Early in the program, the student’s course work includes subjects that are fundamental to the operation of an office, such as accounting, word processing, business math, and more. Students will have the option to complete this program in person or 100% online through the Blackboard Learning Management System Platform. Students will have the option to choose in person or online learning. All electives will be available online. The student is then given an in-depth study of highly technical software applications. The objective of the general education courses are to provide the student with the necessary critical thinking and communications skills needed to help the student become a more productive part of the work world. This general education background combined with the technical course content encourages an atmosphere of professional growth and maintains the college’s philosophy of the “learn by doing” method of education. The Associate Degree will arm the student with the credibility they need to succeed. It will provide the student with the competitive edge helping the student become employable with more opportunities for advancement. It will prepare the student for entry-level employment in these and other positions: Legal/Medical Secretaries, Accounting Clerks, Payroll Clerks, Accounts Payable and Receivable, and Administrative Assistants. Graduates secure employment in hospitals, schools, state agencies, industrial organizations, legal software companies, insurance agencies, and the courts.
A certified medication aide in the state of Ohio can assist nurses in long term care or assisted living facilities administration. The MA-C is permitted to administer oral medications (except Schedule II narcotics), and medication via the following routes: Ear, Eye, Nasal, Inhaled, Rectal, Vaginal, Topical. MA-C can administer PRN (as needed) medication (not Schedule II drugs) after a nurse assesses the resident and determines the need. The MA-C does not replace a Nurse, rather MA-Cs assist the Nurse, allowing more time for the Nurse to complete other nursing tasks.
The objective of the Medial Assistant Diploma program is to prepare the student for employment in the dual (clinical/clerical) role of a Medical Assistant. To enable the student to become a valuable asset to the allied-health team in a health facility. To encourage the student to be constantly aware of the importance of continuing their education on a daily basis for the safety and welfare of their patients. To prepare the student for entry-level employment in these and other positions: Medical Assistant, EKG Technician, Clinical Technician, Orderly, Medical Secretary, Medical Data Entry Specialist, Records/Insurance Clerk, and Medical Office Business Manager. Medical Assistants qualify to take the Phlebotomy Registry (AMT), EKG Certification (NAHP), and hold certifications in First Aid and CPR. This 12 month program is a Hybrid program. Students are required to participate in distance education via Blackboard Learning Management System and attend ETI Technical College of Niles to complete in person lab and clinical hours.

To enable the student to become a valuable asset to the allied-health team in a health facility. To encourage the student to be constantly aware of the importance of continuing their education on a daily basis for the safety and welfare of their patients. To prepare the student for entry-level employment in these and other positions: Medical Assistant, EKG Technician, Clinical Technician, Orderly, Medical Secretary, Medical Data Entry Specialist, Records/Insurance Clerk, and Medical Office Business Manager. Students will have the option to complete this program in person or Hybrid online through the Blackboard Learning Management System Platform. Students would come to campus twice a week to complete in person lab skills and all lectures would be held online through Blackboard LMS. Students will have the option to choose in person or online learning. All electives will be available online. Medical Assistants qualify to take the Phlebotomy Registry (AMT), EKG Certification (NAHP), and hold certifications in First Aid and CPR.

The CDL Training course is a 160 clock hour program. A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon the successful completion of all requirements of the program. Classes will be held Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4 PM and are held for four weeks. All class starting schedules for any program are determined by ETI and are subject to change without notice.
The objective of the 8-Month Combination Welding and Fitting program is to provide the technical skills necessary for entry-level employment in the highly technical fields of Combination Welding and Fitting such as; tack welders, fitters, welding operators, burners, construction welders, welder helpers, fabricated metal products, welder assemblers, welding inspectors and welding sales people. To provide basic welding, oxy fuel cutting, stick welding, personal safety as well as protecting others, pipe stick welding, Flux Core, MIG and TIG welding, blue print reading, non-ferrous welding, plasma and welding fabrication. Students prepare for: AWS, ASME & API Certifications.

The Associate Degree will arm the student with the credibility they need to succeed. Phlebotomy is an ever growing field used in many different settings. Having people who specialize in blood collection and processing is vital in the allied health care industry. Many medical offices, hospitals, laboratories, and health departments employ skilled Technicians to decrease the workload on doctors and nurses. Students of the Phlebotomy Certificate course will be guided through an accelerated course examining the knowledge, techniques, and procedures required to be a successful Technician. Students successfully completing the course will have the skills needed to properly obtain and process blood specimens while maintaining mandated safety regulations. Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) Phlebotomy Certification exam (NRCPT), will be taken at the successful completion of this course. Textbook and supplies included in the cost of the course. Students are required to wear a disposable lab coat, that is included in the cost.
Nursing courses have been carefully developed and scheduled to meet the needs of adult learners. The curriculum combines classroom instruction with laboratory skills components, and clinical experiences in the areas of medical-surgical nursing, complex care nursing, behavioral health, pediatrics, obstetrics, geriatrics, pharmacology, and nursing leadership. Clinical experience, an important part of the ETI Technical College of Niles philosophy, will take place at local nursing homes, hospitals, and healthcare agencies that provide continuing support for nursing education programs.

The LPN provides care under the direction of an RN, physician, or other legally recognized medical practitioner that is consistent with his/her scope of practice, education, and skills. On completion of the course requirements, the graduate receives a diploma and is prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN), which leads to licensure as a License Practical Nurse. Graduates who become licensed as practical nurses may qualify for advanced placement through articulation plans at regional nursing programs should they choose to continue their education in nursing and become Registered Nurses.
