This program is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career as an Emergency Medical Technician. It prepares students for entry level positions with ambulance and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). As many EMS services are a component of fire departments, it is also important for those pursuing a career as a firefighter. Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to take the National Registry of EMT examination. Successful completion of this examination is necessary for State of Ohio EMT certification.

Cuyahoga Community College offers different degress, vpcational training programs, and other certification training in different fields. They have a nursing track where students can dwell into if they are interested in starting a career in the healthcare. Cuyahoga CC's Certified Nursing Assistant training program is focused on preparing students to get certified so they can begin work as soon as possible. They are located in Cleveland. The school focuses on offering flexibility for students; Cuyahoga CC offers classes that are part-online and part in-person.
