The American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR Course teaches CPR skills based on the Guidelines released in 2020 for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). This CPR course teaches the skills for Adult/Child/Infant CPR including giving high quality compressions, using the bag mask device, using an automated external defibrillator (AED) device, and how to help a victim who is choking. It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital.
