Learning Outcomes

  • Manage administrative tasks: phone management, patient record maintenance, insurance paperwork, and more.
  • Apply core medical assisting processes and concepts to deliver medical care.
  • Perform clinical duties, including patient history taking, vitals, treatment explanation, examination preparation, and lab work.
  • Showcase knowledge of Medical Assisting code of ethics, and apply ethical/legal principles in care delivery.
  • Commit to continued career development in an evolving healthcare system.

The program's objective is to equip you with skills for entry-level positions as medical assistants, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and office managers. Our curriculum includes various clinical procedures, preparing you for diverse roles in the healthcare industry.

  • Medical Terminology
  • Law and Ethics in Healthcare
  • Patient Contact to Diagnosis, Treatment, Follow-Up, and Financial Aspects
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Hematology/Lab Assisting including Phlebotomy
  • Special Procedures: EKG, Injections, Vital Signs, CPR, Point of Care Testing
  • HIPPA, OSHA
