• Perform clinical duties, including patient history taking, vitals, treatment explanation, examination preparation, and lab work.
• Showcase knowledge of Medical Assisting code of ethics, and apply ethical/legal principles in care delivery.

The program's objective is to equip you with skills for entry-level positions as medical assistants, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and office managers. Our curriculum includes various clinical procedures, preparing you for diverse roles in the healthcare industry.

Phlebotomy Technician Certificate Program at Clinical Skills Training Center

The Clinical Skills Training Center presents an intensive Phlebotomy Technician Certificate Program, aimed to equip students with practical clinical laboratory skills and hands-on experience in medical practices.

Program Overview

• This program delivers comprehensive understanding of blood and its components, encompassing hands-on skills in phlebotomy, special collecting and processing.
• Students are trained in crucial aspects of laboratory skills requiring quality assurance and specimen handling. This includes collection and handling of various bodily fluids like blood, urine, wound, throat, and stool.
• Students gain proficiency in verifying records, preparing specimens for microbiology department, point-of-care testing, and running controls on instruments across various departments within the lab.
• Emphasizing real-world learning, students work in teams, practicing skills on one another.

Equipment and Supplies

• All courses require students to have a laptop or tablet.
• Student supplies are provided, including a set of scrubs, lab coat, face shield, name tag, and a bookbag of lab supplies.
• Course materials encompass e-books, handouts, and necessary phlebotomy and specimen processing supplies.

Please note that the exam fee is not included in the course fee.

• Dive into the cardiovascular system with special attention to standard 12 lead EKGs, Holter monitoring, Stress testing, diseases, and diagnostic exams. Your heart will literally race with all this knowledge!
• Did we mention blood pressure skills and vital signs? You'll learn that too!
• Student supplies are included, so you'll have your own set of scrubs, lab coat, face shield, name tag, B\P cuff, stethoscope bookbag, and lab supplies.
• We'll also throw in the necessary EKG and phlebotomy supplies, e-books, and handouts.
