What's it all about?

This course takes you through the latest science-backed practices, uses interactive videos, and throws in some pediatric emergency simulations for good measure. You'll master a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, and PALS treatment algorithms. Plus, you'll get to practice effective resuscitation and team dynamics. And who knows? What you'll learn?

• Administering top-notch child and infant CPR and AED
• Recognizing and responding to cardiopulmonary arrest
• Distinguishing between respiratory distress and failure
• Administering early interventions for respiratory distress and failure
• Understanding compensated and decompensated (hypotensive) shock
• Early interventions for shock treatment
• Spotting the difference between unstable and stable patients with arrhythmias
• Post–cardiac arrest management

Ace the pre-course online assessment, actively participate in learning stations, clear the written exam, and pass the BLS skills tests and PALS core case scenarios. And voila! You earn an AHA PALS Provider eCard.
