About

The Emergency Medical Services program prepares the student to become certified field clinicians. With small class sizes, this comprehensive yet innovative training provides a combination of blended learning, classroom, and hands-on training to include critical decision-making, managing sick and injured patients, scene control, and transporting patients to the hospital. After successful completion of one semester, students will be eligible to take the State and National Registry Examinations certifying them as an EMS clinician (Emergency Medical Technician). Once the student has passed the certification exam, they will be prepared for a lifetime of opportunities. Students may choose to continue to complete their Paramedic degree in a minimum of 15 months when they can use their knowledge and training for other healthcare entities such as homeland security or fire science. Students will be able to quickly find employment in an endlessly growing field.
