The Associate Degree in Office Systems Administration with Medical Coding and Billing program is designed to prepare the student with the skills and competencies necessary for the administration of a medical office, the coding and billing of medical services. Curricular content emphasizes biomedical sciences, medical terminology, electronic medical record management, disease classification and coding, billing for medical services and procedures, medical transcription, office systems, and medical office procedures. The student must comply with the hours of work outside class ( outside work) required by the Federal Department of Education. This program is completed in a total of six academic terms corresponding to two years when the curricular sequence is followed.
