The purpose of this program is to train the student with the knowledge, principles and basic skills necessary to enter entry-level employment as a pharmacy technician, within the framework of health-related services. The study of professions allied to the practice of pharmacy includes aspects related to applied sciences, pharmacology, medical terminology, psychology, communication and marketing principles. The student will be trained to work in community pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, diagnostic center pharmacies, drug stores and chain pharmacies. This program is completed in a total of four academic terms corresponding to one year and four months when the curricular sequence is followed.

The student must comply with the outside work hours required by the Federal Department of Education. Graduates of this program must meet the requirements of the Examining Board of Radiological Technologists in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy Technologists of Puerto Rico. They must submit a request for admission to examination and obtaining a permanent license to the Board and pass the exam to be able to practice the profession in Puerto Rico.
The Associate Degree in Nursing Sciences program offers high school graduates the opportunity for young people and adults to prepare and perform as a nurse at the associate degree level. Based on the functions approved for the Associate Degree level and endorsed by Law No. 9 of October 11, 1987, this staff collaborates and participates in a holistic process offering meticulous and direct nursing care to hospitalized patients and outpatients.
At the end of their training, the student will prepare to take the Puerto Rico Nursing Examining Board exam. The student must comply with the outside work hours required by the Federal Department of Education. Graduates of this program must meet the requirements of the Puerto Rico Nursing Examining Board.
The Associate Degree in Diagnostic Echocardiography Technology provides entry-level skills that allow the graduate to work as a Diagnostic Echocardiography Technologist. These professionals collaborate and participate in preparing patients for cardiac imaging and diagnostic ultrasound of the great vessels.
In addition, they are prepared to maintain safety standards, precautions required to operate specialized equipment, and techniques as indicated. Graduates will be trained to provide services in public and private hospitals, cardiovascular centers, and cardiologist offices; under the direction and supervision of a cardiologist or thoracic surgeon who performs ultrasound examination of the heart or electrocardiograms, as well as other areas where this technology is used such as biomedical companies and patient training. This program is completed in a total of six academic terms corresponding to two years when the curricular sequence is followed. The student must comply with the hours of work outside class ( outside work) required by the Federal Department of Education.
This program prepares the student to work as a Surgical Technician at entry level, and be part of the team of health professionals. At the end of the study program, the graduate will be qualified to assist surgeons, supplying them with the necessary instruments during surgery. The graduate will be able to work in any public or private hospital, care centers and doctors' offices where outpatient surgeries are performed, among others. This program equips the student with the knowledge, principles and basic skills necessary to enter as a practical nurse "entry level" in the field of health. Upon completion of their training, the student will be prepared to take the exam of the Examining Board of Nurses of Puerto Rico. The graduate of the program will be able to work under the supervision of licensed nursing professionals, doctors and dentists. You can practice in any public or private hospital, care centers for children or the elderly, disease prevention and detection center, private medical services offices or any other company that requires the services of these personnel.
The Basic Medical Emergency Technician Program (TEM-B) is aimed at training entry-level personnel to perform pre-hospital evaluation of patients and basic emergency management. The graduate of this program will be able to take the revalidation exam offered by the Board of Examiners of Medical Emergencies of Puerto Rico and will be able to provide their services in any agency that provides pre-hospital emergency medical services. This program consists of 24 credits distributed over two academic terms to be completed in eight months.

The Associate Degree in Office Systems Administration with Medical Coding and Billing program is designed to prepare the student with the skills and competencies necessary for the administration of a medical office, the coding and billing of medical services. Curricular content emphasizes biomedical sciences, medical terminology, electronic medical record management, disease classification and coding, billing for medical services and procedures, medical transcription, office systems, and medical office procedures. The student must comply with the hours of work outside class ( outside work) required by the Federal Department of Education. It trains the student for their fundamental cognitive development and competencies of this level, which enable them to perform as an efficient professional supporting doctors of different specialties, who in the practice of their profession apply techniques and modalities for cardiorespiratory care. In addition, the program allows the development of problem-solving skills using critical thinking in decision-making in the exercise of their profession.
The graduate of this program will be trained to evaluate, treat and offer care to patients with cardio-pulmonary disorders. Work under the medical direction of a generalist or specialist duly qualified to practice respiratory care in hospitals, medical offices, or any other institution offering services related to respiratory care. The student must comply with the hours of work outside of class ( outside work ) required by the Federal Department of Education.

The Associate of Science Degree program in Radiologic Imaging Technology is designed to prepare radiologic technologists as professionals who operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images by applying radiation (x-rays) through the body.
