The Phlebotomy Training, graduates will be able to perform task such as drawing blood from patients, talk with patients to help them feel less nervous about having their blood drawn, verify patients identity to ensure proper labeling of the blood, Label the drawn blood for testing or processing, enter patient information into a database, assemble and maintain medical instruments such as needles, test tubes, and blood vials and keep work areas clean and sanitary.
The structure for ourPhlebotomy Training Program isabout 4weeks, established for 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, for a total of 60 hours (Didactic Instruction). In addition, the Clinical Setting (Laboratory Externship) hours are a minimum of 40 hours, and the number of days involved may vary, based on the availability and requirements of the Lab. This program includes both a Basic and Advanced Phlebotomy Curriculum.
