The Social Services Designee (SSD) and Activity Director are separate State certifications which we have combined into one course due to their short clock hour requirements and similar course material. A Social Service Designee will interview residents to ensure their physical, psychological, and social needs of the residents are being met within a facility, and implement personalized plans of care which are designed to improve or restore Activities of Daily Living. The Activity Director is responsible for creating an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the interests and the physical, mental, and psycho-social needs of each resident in accordance with the comprehensive assessment. This is an online course, there is no need to come to Allied.
