The program ranges from basic first aid to cardiac emergencies and uses a full-color workbook and a First Aid quick reference guide, along with step-by-step, easy to follow and remember DVD video demonstrations.

Topics range from basic first aid to dealing with cardiac emergencies.
The Phlebotomy Technician Program is 80 hours spanning over a total of 6 weeks. The program is designed to prepare students to participate in the National Healthcare Association (NHA) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) examination. The program will prepare students by providing them with the appropriate knowledge of the five major domains covered on the exam: Safety and Compliance; Patient Preparation; Routine Blood Collections; Special Collections and Processing. The course will also cover legal issues in healthcare, medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiology. Training/clinical or external experience must include a minimum of 30 successful venipunctures and 10 successful capillary sticks. Training/clinical or external experience must include a minimum of 30 successful venipunctures and 10 successful capillary sticks. These venipuncture capillary sticks must be performed on live individuals. Candidates are prohibited from using mannequins to meet this requirement. Clinical or external experience, if available, is not mandatory for certification.
