About

A Home Health Aide (HHA) provides basic health care in a home setting. They also assist patients with activities of daily living. In general, Home Health Aides provide direct attention to those with disabilities, chronic diseases, and cognitive impairments.

Home Health Aides regularly work under the supervision of a medical professional, usually a Registered Nurse. In this program, students will learn basic medical care, emergency response, and housekeeping duties. A Home Health Aide must work with a 75-hour diploma from the state of Florida along with continuing education credits that must be maintained every year. The number of continuing educations credits may vary depending on the employer.
