A Home Health Aide (HHA) provides basic health care in a home setting. They also assist patients with activities of daily living. In general, Home Health Aides provide direct attention to those with disabilities, chronic diseases, and cognitive impairments.
Home Health Aides regularly work under the supervision of a medical professional, usually a Registered Nurse. In this program, students will learn basic medical care, emergency response, and housekeeping duties. A Home Health Aide must work with a 75-hour diploma from the state of Florida along with continuing education credits that must be maintained every year. The number of continuing educations credits may vary depending on the employer.
Aguilas International Technical Institute - CNAP found there was a need for a well-respected Certified Nursing Assistant training program, so they started this class to educate the next generation of healthcare workers. AITI - CNAP's class takes place in Tampa. The school focuses on speed, allowing you to challenge the exam after just 2 weeks. Note that this program will not be as thorough as other programs and is meant more as a review course.
In our Pharmacy Program we prepare students on the skills they will need to launch a career as a Pharmacy Technician by providing the best education possible. Among other things students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, and inventory control.
Our 8-month program features a flexible schedule and campus-based training. The Pharmacy Technician Diploma Program requires 160 hours of mandatory externship hours. The program ultimately prepares students with the skills they need to launch a career as a Pharmacy Technician by enhancing the learning experience through hands-on simulations of functions and work process found in pharmacies today.
