The Advanced Welding Technology course is offered at the Visalia, Fresno, & Bakersfield campuses, and open to students with no prior knowledge or experience in the welding industry. Training covers practical skills in Oxy-Acetylene cutting and brazing, SMAW (Arc), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW (Flux Core) in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including purge welding of sanitary pipe. Students will also learn Shop & Site Safety Practices, Blue Print Reading, Principles of Metallurgy, and other welder trade practices and processes. This course prepares students to obtain American Welding Society (AWS) welder performance certifications.
