The Advanced Welding Technology course is offered at the Visalia, Fresno, & Bakersfield campuses, and open to students with no prior knowledge or experience in the welding industry. Training covers practical skills in Oxy-Acetylene cutting and brazing, SMAW (Arc), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW (Flux Core) in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including purge welding of sanitary pipe. Students will also learn Shop & Site Safety Practices, Blue Print Reading, Principles of Metallurgy, and other welder trade practices and processes. This course prepares students to obtain American Welding Society (AWS) welder performance certifications.

The Ag Transportation course is offered at the Visalia, Fresno, Merced, Bakersfield & Las Vegas campuses, and is open to students with no prior knowledge or experience in the truck driving industry. The Central San Joaquin Valley and Las Vegas are some of the world’s most agricultural regions. The Ag Transportation CDL training at Advanced Career Institute shows appreciation to the agricultural community its campuses are located within. ACI’s Ag Transportation course is one of the few agriculture training programs in the region. Students in this CDL training program will receive instruction on all aspects of truck driving as well as an introduction to the agriculture industry.

ACI currently offers three truck driver training programs. Our 160-hour Class A CDL training is ideal for individuals with no prior knowledge or experience in the truck driving industry. This basic-level program is offered at the Visalia, Fresno, Merced, Bakersfield & Las Vegas campuses. Students gain the necessary knowledge and practical skills needed to become truck drivers. This course prepares you to take the written permit and behind-the-wheel exam in order to receive a Class A CDL with endorsements. After getting your CDL, you will be eligible for employment as an entry-level driver.

The Professional Truck Driver Program is offered at the Visalia, Fresno, Merced, Bakersfield & Las Vegas campuses and is open to students with no prior knowledge or experience in the truck driving industry. Training covers all areas of truck driving, including DMV Permit Preparation, Basic Operations, and Safe Operating Procedures. We will also cover vehicle maintenance, emergency maneuvers and the execution of all behind-the-wheel DMV-required skills. This course prepares students to take their written permit exam in order to receive a Class A CDL.
