Access Careers Pharmacy Technician Program

Explore the dynamic field of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician with our dedicated program.

Role:

As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll primarily receive and fill prescription requests from a variety of sources, under the careful supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Work Environment:

You'll work in clean, organized settings, spending a significant portion of your day on your feet. Your future workplace could be in hospitals, community pharmacies, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities. Work can be either part-time or full-time, possibly requiring evening or weekend shifts based on location.

Opportunities and Certification:

The healthcare industry is growing rapidly, leading to a plethora of job opportunities in allied health occupations. Many employers prefer certified technicians, an indication of formal training and qualification. Certification not only showcases your competency but also signals your commitment to your profession, provides a competitive edge, and could potentially enhance your earnings and career opportunities.

Post-Completion:

After completing our program, students are encouraged to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) exam through the ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians). Our affiliation agreement with Walgreen’s means successful graduates who pass the ExCPT exam may have the opportunity to intern with their organization.
