About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, your main responsibility will be receiving and fulfilling prescription requests for patients. You'll be working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and your duties can extend to various settings such as hospitals, community pharmacies, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Depending on the work environment, you may have the flexibility of part-time or full-time work, including potential evening or weekend shifts.
Certification & Career Opportunities
With the healthcare industry's rapid growth, there are abundant job opportunities in the Allied Health professions. Most employers prefer or require their workers to have certifications, indicating proper training and qualification.
After completing our program, we encourage students to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) exam administered through the ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians). This certification can enhance your job prospects, potential earnings, and career advancement opportunities.
Affiliation with Walgreen's
We're proud to have an affiliation agreement with Walgreen's. Upon graduation from our Pharmacy Technician Program and successful passing of the ExCPT exam, eligible graduates will be interviewed by Walgreen's for potential internship opportunities.
