This four-year program will take your skills from the basics to being prepared to take the journeyman test to become a licensed HVAC technician. HVAC Apprenticeship classes are available in a hyflex format offering in-person and virtual class options with 576 hours of classroom training and 8,000 hours of on-the job experience.

The Certificate Program in HVAC provides a structured approach to learning the in-depth technical principles and applications you need to design new HVAC systems and retrofit existing systems to meet energy-conservation and comfort standards. The HVAC Certification class offered by Auburn University (AU) in Alabama is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to become a certified HVAC technician.
