Should there be instances of under performance, diagnostics and lab procedures that require blood specimens may result in poor operational procedures as well. In this course, the student will learn the following:
A phlebotomy technician is someone who draws blood from patients. Phlebotomists collect and prepare blood for diagnostic tests, donations, and blood transfusions.
You'll need to obtain a High School Diploma or GED or complete an 8th Grade test. You must be able to pass a criminal background check. You'll also need to provide a copy of your Social Security card and one of your state-issued IDs (e.g., state ID, driver's license, American passport). You may be asked for other documents such as a drug test or immunization records. We match you with our state-approved CNA training provider in your area.
