A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), also known as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), is a nurse who provides basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or doctor. LVNs generally are less senior and are paid less compared to RNs, but as a result LVN programs are much shorter (~1 year vs 2-4 years) and cost less.
Students must have a Social Security Card and state ID. They must also be able to pass a background check. May of our partner schools do not require a High School Diploma or GED.
