The HVAC certification program at Western Suffolk BOCES has been designed to help individuals learn and master essential skills required to work as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technicians. The program provides hands-on training, which teaches the students the techniques and processes involved in HVAC systems installation, maintenance, and repairing, as well as the basic core knowledge that every HVAC technician should have. The HVAC certification program also prepares the students for the EPA Section 608 certification exam, which is necessary for anyone who works with refrigerants.
