About

The WVC Nursing program has limited enrollment on the Wenatchee and Omak campuses and is subject to special admission requirements and procedures for both the first and second year, in addition to the prerequisites. Since the Nursing program requires intensive study, students must meet complete all general requirements and prerequisites (PDF) before applying to the program. Students should expect to carry a heavy class schedule unless they have previously completed some of the required general education courses.

Hands-on clinical work in a variety of health care settings in the community provides invaluable experience, offering opportunities for critical thinking and effective decision-making by the student nurse. Clinical students will be assigned day and evening shifts, and may have out-of-town travel. Second-year students may have to work some evening shifts or Saturdays. All students when given out-of-town assignments (for short periods of time) are responsible for their own living and travel expenses.
